Stephen Bagley

Steven Bagley
March 9, 1958 – April 27, 2013

Cpl. Steven Bagley served in the United States Marine Corps and 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company. After receiving an Honorable Discharge Steve used his GI Bill to obtain an impressive formal education with a BS degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Political Science then a Doctorate in Humanities. Steve continued his tradition of giving of himself to help serve first his country then others by taking on the role of Executive Director for the Community Food Bank in Wilmington in the early 90’s. His efforts were so successful that upon resigning from the position, he received a Proclamation by the Mayor and City Council on August 1, 2001 for “Steven R. Bagley Day” for years of dedication helping the Less Fortunate. Steve continued his passion of helping others by volunteering to prepare breakfasts for his fellow Military Veterans at the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also active in the Fleet Reserve Association. And if all that was not enough Steve put his professional skills to work for the Mercy Homeless Shelter with his grant writing, organization and business skills obtained over a lifetime.

Much Respect from all of us who served
our country and/or in our Communities in the service of others.
Semper Fi & Rest-In-Peace (you earned it!)
